Employee Permissions

This option allows you to setup the identification codes for each employee. Each code is setup with a specific level of access for each sales function (invoicing, ordering, equipment setup, etc.) and a unique password ensuring confidentiality of the ID code. This is one more step toward helping you control the security within the system.  Click here for a spreadsheet designed for easier system administration.

 

 

Function Key Explanations

To view a list of existing data

Delete the current employee ID

 

 

This sets up the defaults for all new employees and can be modified

 

 

If set to Y users will be prompted to enter a password when accessing the equipment master file

 

To go to the previous record

 

To go to the next record

Print a list of existing employees and employee IDs

Clear the current record

Exit the program

 

 

  1. Select Admin>>Update System Information>>E-Employee Permissions

  2. Complete this section. (Click on a field name for an overview. An asterisk (*) denotes required fields.):

  1. You will then set each employee's permissions according to the criteria given below:

First three functions are:     R-Read

W-Write

N-None

The rest of the functions are to be answered accordingly with a (Y)es or (N)o according to what the employee will be allowed to do.

 

Note:  If any employee doesn't have the permissions to edit or even add a charge customer they not add a customer to the master customer information.

The print option has been expanded with a new report type within the employee permission program, "Employee Permissions (select specific permission)". You can select a single permission, select which values to include. The report will include just the permissions for the item selected, each row is each employee.
